A little white lamb we hadn't seen before came into the barn during feeding tonight. It's umbilical chord was dried up, and it was friendly. Snowie, one of our sheep, claimed her. Snowie just happens to be the daughter of the sheep that died yesterday. Snowie also happens to have been the first lamb born on our farm since I've lived here. She was born in that deep February snow two winters ago.
We figure that this little lamb has to have been born the day its grandmother died, on Valentines Day. So we named her "Sweetie." What a sweet suprise.
